2 Injured In Rollover Crash In Pierce County

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Two men were injured after a rollover crash early Sunday morning in Pierce County.

The accident occurred around 1:58 a.m. Sunday on Highway 10 near County Road QQ in Oak Grove Township. Authorities say a 2003 Chevy Cavalier was traveling west on Highway 10 when it drifted onto the shoulder and overturned several times in the ditch.

The car's driver, Lucas J. Niebur, 23, of Prescott, Wis. and his passenger, Owen E. Schmitz, 23, of Hastings, were both ejected from the vehicle.

Niebur and Schmitz were transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul. Their injuries are unknown.

Police say a helicopter was requested but could not fly due to the weather.

The accident is under investigation.
