National Potato Council Meeting In Grand Forks

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — Several hundred potato growers and industry officials from around the country are gathering in Grand Forks for a National Potato Council meeting.

The meeting is Wednesday through Friday at the Alerus Center.

Agweek reports that the council typically holds its summer meeting near the home of its grower president. The man currently holding that position is Justin Dagen of Karlstad, Minn.

The Red River Valley of eastern North Dakota and western Minnesota is the nation’s leading producer of red potatoes.
