Police Looking For Suspect In TCF Bank Robbery

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Minneapolis Police are looking for a suspect involved in the robbery of a TCF bank in south Minneapolis Tuesday morning.

The Minneapolis FBI said that at about 9:30 a.m., the TCF Bank branch located inside the Cub Foods on the 2800 block of 26th Avenue South was robbed by a lone man.

The suspect approached a teller and made a verbal demand for money, authorities said. The teller complied and the robber left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. Police said the robber did not display a weapon and nobody was injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a black male approximately 30 years old and appeared to have blotches on his face. He wore a dark colored jacket, jeans and a Dallas Cowboys baseball hat. He is believed to be about 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds.

    I’m sure this is just a misunderstanding. He simply “asked” with an attitude, forgot that he didn’t have his ATM card on him, and that he didn’t actually have money in TCF. Do to their recent fees added to all accounts, and the odds that they will get robbed while you are in them I won’t bank at TCF.
