Weather Pushes Back State Baseball Title Games

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The Minnesota state high school baseball championships have been delayed by at least one day.

Three champions are now on track to be crowned Wednesday at Target Field. The Minnesota State High School League made the decision Monday to postpone Tuesday's games because of likely rainy and stormy weather.

The MSHSL says it will re-evaluate the forecast Tuesday and determine whether another re-scheduling is necessary. Target Field is available Thursday if the weather forces a second postponement.

Eden Valley-Watkins tries to defend the Class A title by facing Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial. In Class 2A, St. Cloud Cathedral takes on LaCrescent. And in Class 3A, Burnsville plays Maple Grove.
