Minn. Woman, Toddler Escape Major Injury In Train Crash
PERHAM, Minn. (AP) -- A 23-year-old Perham woman and a toddler are OK after their pickup was hit by a train.
Ashley Gordon says she did not see or hear the train when she stopped at the stop sign near the tracks.
The train hit the front left side of the pickup, causing the truck to roll in the ditch and land on its roof.
Gordon had minor injuries from her seat belt. Her passenger, a 2-year-old girl, was in a child safety seat and was not hurt.
KBRF-AM reports law enforcement had not spoken to the train engineer yet, and the accident is still under investigation.
