Moorhead Man Drowns In Creek

MOORHEAD, Minn. (AP) — Clay County sheriff’s officials say a Moorhead man drowned in a creek after he apparently slipped and fell.

Sheriff Bill Bergquist says people who live near Wolverton Creek spotted the man’s pickup truck, heard his radio was still on, but didn’t see anyone around Sunday evening. Bergquist says it appears the man, 50-year-old Ed Carlson, fell into the creek which runs into the Red River.

KFGO reports the man’s body was recovered a short time later.
