Twins’ Young Has Bone Bruise In Right Ankle

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Twins outfielder Delmon Young has a bone bruise in his right ankle.

Young underwent an MRI on Monday to determine the extent of his ankle injury after he collided with the left-field wall in Milwaukee on Saturday and had to be carted off the field.

He was placed on the 15-day disabled list Sunday with what was classified as an ankle sprain.

Twins manager Ron Gardenhire says Young isn’t expected to miss more than the required 15 days.

Young is hitting .256 this season with two homers and 20 RBIs in 55 games.

Minnesota hosted the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday night.

This group of Twins is the biggest bunch of sissies to ever put on the uniform. Mauer is out with a strained labia and his career is basically over. He had one good year and gets 47 grand for ever weak ground-out he does. Poor Morneau is on about his 15th concussion, so his days are numbered. Kubel has potential despite not really being able to do a spoken interview. Which is ok since he has a hot wife that should do his talking for him anyway.
