New York air traffic was affected by some turtles on the runways at JFK airport yesterday. 

Some planes were slowed to a crawl, but pilots and air traffic controllers were in good spirits.  The turtles migrate to a sandy area in the airports restricted zone to lay eggs each year.  Here is the story from ABCNews.
