Marine From Maplewood Killed In Afghanistan

ST. PAUL (WCCO) — A 27-year-old soldier from Maplewood has died while serving in Afghanistan, according to the Department of Defense.

Sgt. Chad D. Frokjer was conducting combat operations in Helmand province on June 30 at the time of his death.

Frokjer was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.
