Nevada Man Pleads Guilty To Assault On Airplane

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – An 83-year-old man from Reno, Nev., pleaded guilty in Minneapolis Federal Court on Friday to assaulting a medical specialist while on a flight to Rochester via his private plane.

Robert M. Lee was charged June 13 with one count of misdemeanor assault in connection with the incident. The charge came in federal court as the incident happened while the plane was in flight.

According to a court documents, Lee was on a flight on Sept. 21, 2010, on the way to a Rochester hospital with a paramedic and registered nurse. When the paramedic assisted Lee to his seat, he allegedly grabbed and twisted her breast.

The woman told Lee not to touch her, and he responded by saying, "I can do whatever I want. This is my plane."

Lee faces up to six months in prison and a $5,000 fine. His sentence will be determined by a United States district court judge.
