St. Paul Police Identify 3 Bodies Found In River

ST. PAUL (WCCO) -- Three bodies that were found in the Mississippi River over the past few weeks have been identified.

Police say all three victims appear to have drowned and foul play is not suspected in any of the deaths. The incidents, police say, are not related.

The body found on June 6, near Fillmore Avevnue and Ridder Circle, has been identified as 21-year-old Peter Anguilar, of St. Paul. He was last seen around 2 a.m., June 3 at a St. Paul residence. Police say he may have been in the area of the Wabasha Street Bridge around 3 a.m. that day.

On July 3, a body was found in the river near State Street and Alabama Street. That body has been identified as 44-year-old Felix Lopez, of St. Paul. He was last seen on his houseboat at Harriet Island on June 28. Investigators believe Lopez accidentally fell into the river.

The body recovered from the river on July 5, near the Ford Dam, has been identified as 19-year-old Glenn Cooper, of Boise, Idaho. Police were searching for Cooper since July 1, after she was spotted in the river near the Hennepin Avenue Bridge in Minneapolis.
