ST. CLOUD, Minn. (WCCO) – A 47-year-old Sauk Rapids man died Thursday after he was struck and killed by a train while walking his dog on a set of railroad tracks in Sauk Rapids, authorities said.
Police said the incident was reported at about 11:48 a.m. Thursday near the 1800 block of North Benton Drive.
Authorities said the man was walking his dog on the tracks when he was struck by a train traveling southbound. Police said they believe the man was listening to music on headphones at the time of the accident.
Police identified the man as Clint Presler.
What happened to the dog? I’m sure he heard it coming!
Yeah- You would think his reaction would have alerted the man but still I would never walk on railroad tracks. Sad story
It is actually illegal to walk on railroad tracks.
