Elderly Woman Robbed In St. Cloud

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (WCCO) – An elderly woman was robbed at knifepoint just after 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Cloud, according to police.

Authorities responded to a report of first-degree burglary at 11:17 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of 34th Avenue in St. Cloud. When they arrived, they met with an 84-year-old woman who told police a man was desperate for money and entered her unlocked residence.

The man displayed a knife and left with a small amount of money, police said. The woman was not harmed physically in the incident.

No arrests have been made at this point. The suspect is described as a black male about 35 to 37 years old, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds with short to medium length dark hair. He had no facial hair and was wearing a blue T-shirt and shorts.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the incident is asked to call St. Cloud Police or Crime Stoppers.
