ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Wild have signed first-round draft pick Jonas Brodin to an entry-level contract.
The Wild announced that they signed the defenseman on Tuesday. They selected the 18-year-old from Sweden with the 10th overall pick in last month’s draft.
Brodin had four assists in 42 games for his Swedish Elite League team last season at age 17. He scored two goals in 14 playoff games to help his team to the championship.
