ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Michele Bachmann’s rise in Republican presidential race polls is making the tea party favorite an enticing target for rival campaigns.

But the Minnesota congresswoman’s opponents so far — all men — are treading lightly. They’re sensitive to gender concerns and mindful of angering the tea party voters they hope to court themselves.

Since entering the 2012 race last month, the three-term lawmaker has seen her standing in polls rise. Several surveys in the lead-off caucus state of Iowa show her challenging the front-runner, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, for the lead.

That’s not to say that candidates aren’t willing to criticize her.

Just a few days ago, former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty said that Bachmann had a “nonexistent record of accomplishment” in Congress.

    1. llp says:

  3. Ventura says:

No need to ponder. She’ll win Iowa. Yeeha, what a victory, “winning”. Then she’ll be trampled like the twit she is from there on out. A girl has to haver her day!

    1. Huxley says:

She’s being used as a distraction. Most rational people don’t buy what she is selling. She has ZERO chance. You have absolutely no idea what you are spouting off about yet you are convinced you have a clue. USA, number 15 in the world in science and math but #1 in confidence. Like you.

    2. llp says:

Why so we can have a just a bigoted view of the world with a 9th grade slant.

  5. Murph says:

If the lightbulb in Micheles head was any dimmer it would be a black hole! I hope that she tells some tales on Pawlenty before she gets knocked out of the race. The credibility gap between what Tim says he is and what he really is,is wider than the Grand Canyon and Newts butt combined!

    1. Huxley says:

      Incandescent, not fluorescent.

  6. drts says:

In taking criticism from her male presidential competitors, Michele need only remember the biblical admonition: “Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ” (II Timothy 2:3). Don’t let those men get too hard though.

    1. Huxley says:

God is a myth you simpleton. Religion is a crutch for the weak minded, as Gov Ventura once said. Keep your crazy bible talk to yourself. It doesn’t belong in public.

      1. drts says:

Huxley: Went completely over your head, didn’t it?

        1. Ventura says:

          I thought it was hillarious!

    2. HG says:

Don’t let those men get too hard though…. HA HA Ha to hard don’t get to hard hahahahahahaLOL

Jesus is fiction as well , well maybe not Jesus here might have been a guy named Jesus but GOD now there’s a fictional guy for you…. Hope she is depending on his help A LOT!!

  7. Huxley says:

This batshat crazy idiot wants to ban all forms of pornography. That right there should be game over for her. I can make that decision for myself. I’m more qualified than this loon. What would the penalty be for a picture of a boob? By boob I mean a breast, not Michelle.

    1. d kauls says:

You’d have to spend a day at her husband’s clinic reading the Bible. Both boobs would be two days.

  8. Huxley says:

    Marcus’s beard.

  9. If you pray hard enough says:

    you can stop being gay.

  10. Otto says:

Yes, they will have to tread lightly, or else she’ll play the “Gender” card. And it won’t be long before Republicans will realize that if Bachman is their nominee, it will guarantee another 4 years for Obama

  11. Angus says:

No one has to attack Bachmann. Just have the media report her statements and she will self destruct. Incidentally, I have always feared the far right more than the far left (both groups are crazies) because the far right wraps themselves in religion and the American flag. Remember, the KKK and White Supremests always claim to be Christians and they are scarey groups.

    1. llp says:

      Sounds like the Tea Baggers

  12. Norge says:

Wouldn’t a victory by the Bachmann/Cantor ticket be just priceless!! To see the look on Obamamamas face as Bachman and Cantor took the oath of office and Cantor could turn to Obamamama and say “CALL” and throw a deck of cards at his feet!! LOLOLOL What a great day for America that would be…and the union-goon-public-trough-feeding-socialist/facists would be going home with a fork in their over-done butt!! LOLOLOL Priceless!

    1. llp says:

yep as they laugh at all you sad sacks that bought their pie in the sky WWH politics.

  13. Angus says:

Norge, there are doctors that could help you with your anger management problems and perhaps an English teacher could assist your efforts in sentence structure and limited vocabulary.

I am not certain where you are going with your entry but it appears you also have an attitude and grasp of reality problem.

  14. llp says:

Bigots For Bigots THe NEW AMERICA how sad

  15. Ventura says:

”[Pelosi] is committed to her global warming fanaticism to the point where she has said she has even said she is trying to save the planet. We all know that someone did that 2,000 years ago.”
Michelle Bachman thinks Jesus saved us

  16. Ventura says:

    Bachman Quotes:
Multicultural diversity . . . sounds wonderful. But guess what? Not all cultures are equal.” — Minnesota Republican 6th Congressional District Debate in 2005
•”During the last 100 days we have seen an orgy. It would make any local smorgasbord embarrassed . . . The government spent its wad by April 26.” — Antitax rally in May 2009
