Campaign: Walz Raises $380K In 2nd Quarter
WINONA, Minn. (AP) -- The campaign of U.S. Rep. Tim Walz says it raised more than $380,000 in the second quarter of 2011.
That's more than double what Walz's campaign had raised by the same point in 2009, according to Friday's report.
The Winona Daily News reports the figure is also more than double the $188,760 Walz's campaign raised in the year's first quarter.
Walz's campaign currently has $397,557 cash on hand.
Walz was first elected to the U.S. House in 2006. He easily won re-election in 2008. The Democrat won again in 2010 with a much narrower margin against Republican Randy Demmer of Hayfield.
