VIRGINIA, Minn. (AP) – Authorities say a northern Minnesota woman who was allegedly kidnapped by her estranged husband last week may have been spotted in Texas.
In a news release, the Virginia Police Department said it was contacted Saturday by the New Braunfels, Texas, Police Department with a lead on Roberta Lynn Caskey. The 44-year-old was walking with her 9-year-old son and a friend Thursday evening when authorities say she was forced by her estranged husband, 40-year-old Timothy Glen Caskey, into his vehicle.
Authorities in New Braunfels told the department a man and woman matching the Caskeys’ description entered a used car dealer Saturday afternoon and asked to test drive a truck. He provided Timothy Caskey’s driver’s license. They failed to return the truck, and his pickup was recovered at the dealer.
