Matula Search Picks Up Near Mississippi River
More than three weeks after an Eden Prairie woman disappeared, friends and family will pick up the search again and look along the Mississippi River in the town of Rice, and then again in the Eden Prairie area.

Area Of Lilydale Park Closed While Gravel Slide Investigated
St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman says an area of a park where two children were killed in a gravel slide is now indefinitely closed. Coleman also says no permits will be issued for fossil hunting in Lilydale Regional Park. The mayor calls it “a tragic day for St. Paul.”

Tommies Blog: St. Thomas Wins 6th Straight All-Sports Title
Seniors at the University of St. Thomas will get their degrees on Saturday, but many athletes are already taking the time to reflect on one of the most successful sports years in the school’s history. St. Thomas won a total of 10 MIAC titles, six in men’s sports and four in women’s to sweep the conference’s All Sports Competition.
Gophers To Induct 10 To ‘M’ Club Hall Of Fame
The University of Minnesota announced Wednesday night it will induct 10 former and current Gophers to the school’s “M” Hall of Fame. The ceremony will take place in the DQ Club Room at TCF Bank Stadium at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24.

The long winter slowed the arrival of spring and all things spring-like, including the much-needed beauty of perennial flowers and bulbs. But at last they’re making an appearance. Over the weekend, I visited the Munsinger Clemens Gardens in St. Cloud, where the bulbs were bursting out, and signs of future floral glories to come.
