Hot Weather Causes Pavement Failure Near Luverne
LUVERNE, Minn. (AP) -- MnDOT crews are repairing a section of Interstate 90 near Luverne in southwestern Minnesota after hot, humid weather caused the pavement to fail.
One lane of westbound I-90 east of Luverne is closed.
MnDOT expects to have the lane open Tuesday evening.
The National Weather Service says the temperature in Luverne was 91 degrees at 5 p.m. with a heat index of 107.
