HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) — Brett Favre’s agent says talk of his client attempting another NFL comeback is just “speculation.”
Bus Cook said on Monday morning that Favre hasn’t talked to him about any sort of comeback and to his knowledge, Favre “hasn’t talked to anybody else about a comeback” either.
The 41-year-old Favre has insisted he’s done playing football, but after several years of flirting with retirement talk has spread he could return.
Philadelphia’s Michael Vick said on Twitter that he would be honored to have Favre as his backup.
Favre spent most of his offseason at home in Hattiesburg, and has said he hasn’t made a decision on his future.
He suffered through an injury-plagued season with the Minnesota Vikings last year, throwing for 2,509 yards, 11 touchdowns and 19 interceptions.
