Police: Woman Helps Police Arrest Man Who Stole Her Car

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Minneapolis Police say a woman helped authorities arrest a man who allegedly stole her car at gunpoint.

According to police, after leaving a residence in south Minneapolis, the 24-year-old woman entered her car when a man approached the driver’s side door, opened it and pointed a handgun at her. She then got out of the car and the man fled in her vehicle.

Two days later, the woman was at a gas station on 22nd Street West and Lyndale Avenue South when she saw the man drive up in another car.

She called police and the 25-year-old man was arrested.

Later, the woman’s vehicle was recovered on the 4700 block of Nicollet Avenue.

Police are investigating.

Good for her. Unfortunately, our state’s ‘catch and release’ criminal justice system means that the thug will be out on the streets again within a week, and will probably do no more than a year in the big house.

    All in.
