MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A man from Texas drowned at a Minneapolis hotel Sunday night.

According to the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, it happened around 6 p.m. at a swimming pool at Ramada Inn on Industrial Boulevard.

The 21-year-old man started to struggle when he entered the deep end of the indoor pool.

He ended up at the bottom of the pool and his family wasn’t able to pull him out.

Hotel employees and bystanders eventually got him out, and emergency crews arrived and performed CPR.

He was brought to Hennepin County Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate.

That comment is not funny. That young man has family and friends who miss him.

What are up with all these drownings lately? So Sad.

  • Uneducated

Your ignorance shows in your poor grammar. Back to your $3/hour job now; cleaning toilets.

    • Fred Garvin

I dont know, the cleaners in our building make a heck of a lot more than that. Its comparable to the people working there for the company. For that matter, are there any 3/hour jobs?

  • Dan Tan

    Too much booze, just guessing.

    • Leslie

Actually no, medical condition that reacted in the water.

  • Don’t drink and dive

Me think the party got carried away and someone or all had way to many.

    • Leslie

I work there, it was a sad situation. He and his family just drove up that day from Texas… his little brothers were trying to get him out. Man wasnt drinking.

He comes all the way to the Land of 10,000 lakes only to drown in a, “see-ment pond.” Irony.
