Man Arrested After Police Chase On Interstate 694
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A driver took off during a traffic stop early Wednesday morning, leading several police officers on a chase in the north metro.
A State Patrol trooper had pulled him over at I-694 and Rice Street on an outstanding warrant.
But then he took off and had a female passenger in the car with him.
Officers eventually forced him off the road by executing a pit maneuver and tapping his car.
He crashed onto the lawn of a Wells Fargo Bank in Spring Lake Park, Minn.
The driver was taken into custody. The women in the car was not arrested.
