Missing Woman Called Police Before Abduction

VIRGINIA, Minn. (AP) — A missing Minnesota woman repeatedly called police in the hours before she disappeared to tell them her estranged husband had violated a restraining order.

Police in Virginia say they warned Timothy Caskey to stay away from his wife after he called her several times July 14. Caskey had just been released from prison after serving a sentence for violating a no contact order involving his estranged wife, Roberta.

The couple remains missing and Timothy Caskey is facing federal kidnapping charges. An FBI affidavit says witnesses saw Caskey grab his wife and throw her into a pickup truck. She struggled while two people tried to intervene, but Caskey fought them off and fled with his wife.

Minnesota Public Radio News says the FBI has offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to Timothy Caskey’s arrest.

The police suck in domestic abuse situations!!! We need more women on the forces…

    • See BS

The missing woman was spotted aiding and abetting a truck theft at a dealership in Texas. So like many women, she has a thing for losers and people like you think the government and taxpayers are suppose to figure it out.

  • David J. Conklin

    >He looks like your typical liberal… the face that says “it isn’t fair”.

And the GOP wonders why they are losing the independent vote …

  • Julie

Stop dragging politics into this horrendously sad story.
This is about a loser who broke his restraining order yet AGAIN after getting out of jail for the same reason. No one has found them yet, and as much of an optimist as I am, the longer they remain missing, the less likely that they are alive.

He looks like the kind of person who would kill her, and I hope to the Gods I am wrong.

The police need to begin taking calls like this seriously.
Had they done that, Roberta might not be missing at this time.

  • Sam I am

This just proves that police do not take domestic abuse situations seriously.

    Shame on the police.

Hey dflsux and Mr. Mustache…just what does that have to do with this story? Are you really that unaware that you have to bring politics into an abduction story?
Grow the f@#k up you two morons.

  • Alicia

This is such a sad story. I am a victim of domestic violence myself. I thank God everyday that my kids and I are safe. Thanks to the great help from the Shelter for Abused Women in Florida we were able to get away and so far stay away without having anymore problems. Florida is very strict on domestic violence and has a task force that is specially trained in those situations that are called to every call no matter how small or big. Minnesota needs to take this issues more seriously! This women would not have gone missing if the officers looked more into the case or if she would have had a great support network (like the Shelter in florida helps you build!)

    • The Outdoorsman

I”m not judging you, but most victims of domestic violence have been victims of domestic violence more than 2-3 times, and with more than 1 “offender.”

Do you fit in those categoris as well, Alicia?

  • gopsux....I'm original

I think he looks more like Bachmann….

  • gdog

Very sad that the police refuse to help when this woman obviously called for help (several times). Maybe the cops were too busy handing out traffic tickets.

  • Prob Not

Actually…that is the face of “give me my guns”, “ban aborotions” and “stop those gays before they take over”

So probably much morely likely to be GOP.

  • rach

yup sure glad that peice of paper kept her safe…… restraining orders are a joke.

  • Renee

where,s the discription of the truck in this article???

  • mike

If the cops want the public’s help finding this Trailer Park dweller they need to give a description of the vehicle. I know find out the last place he cashed his government assistance check. Then go to the closest Wallmart and there he will be.

  • just sayin
