Suspicious Discovery At Fed Bldg. By Ft. Snelling

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Officials were brought in to investigate a suspicious discovery made overnight at the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building near Fort Snelling.

Police evacuated the building on Federal Drive in St. Paul after a security guard at the building found what was initially believed to be explosives. Bomb experts were called in to the scene.

The Federal Protective Service was brought in to investigate the situation.

“The Federal Protective Service responded in coordination with the Hennepin County Police Department to a suspicious package,” said spokesperson Chris Ortman. “The package has been secured and was deemed harmless following an investigation.”

Closer examination of the items revealed they were simply road flares.

There is currently construction going on outside the building.

Shows how desperate there willing to install fear in minnesotan’s, Step your journalism skills up before you expect the public to take your news organization seriously.

It does make you wonder if they were arranged and planted to be a threat. If these were found in any public building that is still a terroristic act. It is not a funny deal. Think of the consequences if there had not been due diligence and response to this and they were truly dynamite. Whoever did this is going to face federal charges and the feds don’t like silly games.

JJ Evans (Jimmie Walker) was at Fort Snelling?

Someone is playing dangerous games. The question is who. This isn’t the only case or place where suspected bombs have been found last night it appears. Security guards called them bombs and that’s how it was relayed to bomb experts by them. In case no one has ever seen road flares…and or dynamite…the resemblance is rather striking. No matter…it’s a bad road to go down.
