BRITT, Iowa (AP) – Authorities have released the name of a 60-year-old Minnesota man who was killed when his bicycle was hit by an SUV near Britt in northern Iowa.

The Iowa State Patrol on Monday says Randy Nomeland, of Minneapolis, was riding east on U.S. Highway 18 when he was hit by the eastbound SUV. The accident happened about 10:30 p.m. Friday. Troopers say the SUV was located about 10 miles away in Garner.

The accident remains under investigation.
