MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A man in wheelchair was hit by a car early Tuesday morning in Minneapolis.

Police said it happened at 32nd St. and Hiawatha Ave. around 2 a.m.

They said the man in the wheelchair was crossing the intersection against the signal and was hit by a car.

He was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in serious condition.

The driver of the car that hit him is cooperating with police.
