Moorhead Police Looking For Dog That Bit Woman

MOORHEAD, Minn. (AP) — Moorhead police are searching for a dog that attacked a woman and bit her face.

The 52-year-old Moorhead woman reported she was waiting for a bus when the medium to large dog jumped on her and began to bite her. She says the attack was unprovoked.

She describes the dog as mostly white with brown on it. She thought the dog may have been a pit bull or a bulldog.

Police say the woman was taken by ambulance to Essentia Health for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The attack was reported just before noon Wednesday. Officers are trying to find the dog to check its vaccination records.

Maybe she disrespected the dog, and the dog was just “keepin it real.”

I hope they find the owners of the dog and prosecute them. These people who think it’s all about them and they don’t have to obey the leash law aren’t fit to live in society. Personally I think few people are responsible enough to own a pit bull because they are bred to fight. My dog and I were once attacked by a pit bull while the stupid woman who owned it just said she was sorry and did nothing to end the fight, she just stood there and watched. Some good samaritan stepped in and helped us. Nobody should have to go through things like that
