Moorhead Police Looking For Dog That Bit Woman

MOORHEAD, Minn. (AP) -- Moorhead police are searching for a dog that attacked a woman and bit her face.

The 52-year-old Moorhead woman reported she was waiting for a bus when the medium to large dog jumped on her and began to bite her. She says the attack was unprovoked.

She describes the dog as mostly white with brown on it. She thought the dog may have been a pit bull or a bulldog.

Police say the woman was taken by ambulance to Essentia Health for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The attack was reported just before noon Wednesday. Officers are trying to find the dog to check its vaccination records.
