Woman Falls Out 3rd Floor Apartment Window In Mpls.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A woman fell out of an apartment window in Minneapolis, making it the second case of someone falling out of a window in the Twin Cities just this week.

Around 2 a.m. Thursday, a woman fell from a third floor window in a downtown Minneapolis apartment building. The building is located on 500 South 10th St.

Police think something broke her fall because they found her off to the side, not directly below the window. They believe trees or a second floor overhang may have helped break her fall.

She was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center. Police don’t think her injuries are life threatening.

Officers said it was hot in the apartment, buy they don’t know if that’s why she was near the window.

Earlier this week, an 11-month-old girl fell from the ninth floor of an apartment window and died.

I think it’s funny. Not the lady falling, but the comments in here.
    Ya’ll are funny!

  • Iconoclast

It’s pretty difficult for a grown adult to “fall” out a 3rd story window. She either jumped, or she was thrown out.

    • Guy

Drunk/high, half-asleep (2 am), heat stroke or other medical condition that disorients are also possibilities. Insufficient details in the story to tell more clearly.

  • Paulie

“White” people. Geez! You guys make me laugh. No ethnic heritage???

  • Anita softerlanding

I’m going with too much partying.

Either a ramadan reveler or an 0bama supporter that had too much Old English at one of several area birthday parties for president wonderful

    • Jim

I bet it was a Republican who was too stupid to install her air conditioner without falling out the window.

See? It’s easy to write stupid, ridiculous posts.

      • Jim makes no sense

Why would anyone be installing an air conditioner at 2 AM on a cool night?

        • who knows

maybe adjusting or fixing one that was mal-functioning ?

        • duh

Jim made perfect sense if you read THE ENTIRE COMMENT.

    • Mike

Well look here, its Anita! I thought you were never going to get off your back with the line of guys waiting for your service at the last KKK rally!

  • JKB

It doesnt make a damn bit of difference if this woman is white or black, or how much money she has, or doesnt have, or where it came from! She fell out of a window which has nothing to do with anything, other than HOW did this happen. Was she sleeping next to the window, or sitting on the window ledge and lost her balance? Thankfully, she is alive, and hopefully she recovers fully.

    • Iconoclast

      Sleeping next to the window??

And what are you suggesting happened next? The window opened and swallowed her? LOL! Hilarious!

      • Guy

No; I suspect he is suggesting that her bed was pushed up next to the window; window was open to get a breeze. She turned over in her sleep & rolled out the window before she woke up enough to catch herself.

        • Iconoclast

I understand, but do you really find that even remotely plausible? How many times would you have to roll over and find yourself up against a window you could fall out of before you might think you should fix the situation?

I still have to laugh at the ‘sleeping and rolled out an apartment window’ theory. I don’t find that a likely scenario at all.

          • Guy

Basically – just get your head & sholders area outside the window before you wake up. You try to raise up & have noting under your hands to push on except the side of
the building & pushing THERE pulls you on out instead of back in.

OTOH the story on KSTP’s site said she had been drinking & SITTING on the ledge; so “drunk” may be a better explanation.

            • Iconoclast

Ahh yes. How would I have guessed that every other local news website got the story down accurately except WCCO.

              I’m so shocked.

I think you’d have to have seriously lost your balance to go headfirst out a 3rd story window, and feet first just wouldn’t make sense.

  • Iconoclast

I love the smell of racism in the morning. You’re so brave as you post your rants from behind a keyboard. You sound like a a budding Anders Breivik. You must be very proud. Do the world a favor and jump out a window yourself.

  • Redneck awesome!

    Excellent rant

  • Nate Hoffmann

    Do you have a job?

  • Guy

    Good one. LOL.

  • Max

Amazing how a story about someone falling out of a window can be turned into
a racist, xenophoibic rant by some of you on here. How sad to live lives with hearts so full of hate.

  • I_hate_mini_vans

As it relates to the person falling out of the window… seriously! Everyone set their thoughts aside and just think about it. First ask yourself how many times you’ve fallen out a window in your lifetime?? Drunk or not… I’m hoping most if not all of you would respond w/not once. I rest my case!

  • Mike Hunt

I’m sure some BATH SALTS were some how involved.
