Woman Falls Out 3rd Floor Apartment Window In Mpls.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A woman fell out of an apartment window in Minneapolis, making it the second case of someone falling out of a window in the Twin Cities just this week.

Around 2 a.m. Thursday, a woman fell from a third floor window in a downtown Minneapolis apartment building. The building is located on 500 South 10th St.

Police think something broke her fall because they found her off to the side, not directly below the window. They believe trees or a second floor overhang may have helped break her fall.

She was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center. Police don't think her injuries are life threatening.

Officers said it was hot in the apartment, buy they don't know if that's why she was near the window.

Earlier this week, an 11-month-old girl fell from the ninth floor of an apartment window and died.
