Police Looking For Missing Vulnerable Adult In Mpls

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities are looking for a vulnerable adult who was dropped off by a bus in downtown Minneapolis Friday morning and has not been seen since, according to Golden Valley Police.

Authorities said 47-year-old Stephen Chromulak, who is wheelchair-bound, rides to the Courage Center every morning. After getting off the bus, one of his relatives told police that he got back on the bus for an unknown reason between 8:30 and 9 a.m. He was dropped off at 7th Street and Nicollet Avenue later Friday morning.

Chromulak suffered a head injury and cannot function on his own. His relative who reported him missing said he is concerned for Chromulak's safety in traffic and the possibility that someone might steal his wheelchair.

Authorities said Chromulak is a white male about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing about 167 pounds. His motorized wheelchair is red and decorated with sports memorabilia. He was wearing a white T-shirt or pullover with gray pants with skulls on them, a black KQRS hat, sunglasses and was possibly carrying a Vikings backpack.

Anyone with information about Chromulak is asked to call Golden Valley Police.
