St. Cloud Police Search For Man Accused Of Hit-And-Run

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (WCCO) -- St. Cloud Police are asking for the public's help to find a man accused of a hit-and-run.

Authorities were dispatched around 6:17 p.m. Saturday to the intersection of 12th Avenue North and 3rd Street North for a car versus pedestrian accident.

Police say a 15-year-old boy was riding his bicycle east on 3rd Street North when a tan, four-door, possibly Oldsmobile-type vehicle ran a stop sign and hit the teen.

Witnesses told police the man got out of the vehicle and helped the teen to the corner then fled the scene, heading west on 3rd Street North.

Witnesses gave police a partial license plate of the vehicle, 645, and said the man was in his early 30s with short, brown hair, a goatee and glasses.

The teen was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

If anyone has information about this case, they are encouraged to call St. Cloud Police at (320) 251-1200.
