WINONA, Minn. (AP) – The Winona County sheriff’s officials are identifying the body found under a pontoon boat moored to a dock in the Mississippi River last weekend.

Winona County Sheriff’s Dave Brand tells KAGE-AM that dental records and X-rays confirmed it was the body of 28-year-old Anna Christine Mulkey. He didn’t give the cause the death.

Mulkey had been reported missing on July 28. It was believed she left an adult group home the day or night before.

Chief Deputy Ron Ganrude says the body had been in the water for some time. He says there were no signs of trauma.
