Powerball Winner May Come Forward Friday Afternoon
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Minnesota State Lottery officials said they’ve been contacted by the apparent winner of the nearly $229 million Powerball jackpot.
The identity of the winner still isn’t known, neither is the the fact if it’s an individual or group who won.
Lottery Director Jenny Canfield said they have to verify the ticket, but she calls the apparent winner “promising”.
She says arrangements are being made, and that they may come forward Friday.
