Semi Destroyed After Rollover Accident In Wis.

PIERCE COUNTY, Wis. (WCCO) – A semi-truck and trailer were destroyed after rolling over and going into a ditch in Pierce County on Friday, authorities said.

The Pierce County Sheriff's Office was called to the accident at about 5:56 p.m. Friday. When authorities arrived, they learned that a 24-year-old man from Watertown was driving the semi when it crashed.

Authorities said the semi was headed northbound on Highway 35 about a half mile north of County Road E when it lost control going around a curve. The truck tipped on its side, slid down the road and ended up in a nearby ditch on a steep embankment.

The Pierce County Sheriff's Office said the truck was carrying packaged flour at the time of the accident. The driver was not hurt in the crash, but the semi-truck and trailer were deemed a total loss due to damage in the accident.

Authorities are still investigating the accident at this time.
