Minn. Deli Becomes Instant Attraction After Obama Pop-In
CANNON FALLS, Minn. (AP) -- The Old Market deli is a new hit among fans of President Barack Obama after his impromptu visit to the quaint sandwich shop and ice cream parlor following a town hall in Cannon Falls.
Backers of the Democratic president flocked to get their pictures taken in front of the restaurant once Obama left. He was on the first leg of his Midwestern bus tour. One woman said Obama hugged everyone inside and gave some autographs too.
Nearby streets were closed off and crowds massed.
Restaurant staff say Obama ordered a turkey sandwich.
