Vikings Bring Herrera Back Ahead Of Rehab Schedule

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) -- Minnesota Vikings right guard Anthony Herrera has been taken off the physically unable to perform list, slightly ahead of schedule with rehabilitation on his surgically repaired left knee.

Herrera participated in much of Monday's practice. Coach Leslie Frazier said Herrera was back about a week earlier than expected and added that he could play a series in Saturday's exhibition game at Seattle, depending on how this week goes.

Herrera tore his anterior cruciate ligament against Green Bay last November. Chris DeGeare and Ryan Cook have been working at right guard in his absence.

Tight end Visanthe Shiancoe is still out with a strained hamstring. Frazier said he probably won't be back this week.
