Winona State University President To Leave

WINONA, Minn. (AP) -- The president of Winona State University says she's stepping down.

The Winona Daily News reports President Judith Ramaley announced this would be her final year during the annual welcome convocation for WSU faculty and staff on Monday.

She says her official departure date hasn't been set, but the search for the next president will begin early this fall.

Ramaley became the university's 14th president in July 2005. She replaced Darrell W. Krueger, who held the job for 16 years before retiring in 2005.
