ST. PAUL (WCCO) – A 48-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly setting a residence on fire with people inside Tuesday morning.

St. Paul Police responded to a domestic call at about 8:30 a.m. on the 930 block of Clark Street.

Officers arrived to find a man fleeing the scene. They gave chase and arrested the man, Louis Ambrose. He has been booked for arson at Ramsey County Jail.

Police said they believe he set the four-unit building on fire during a domestic dispute. There were as many as seven or eight people in the building, but all escaped safely.
