No Visitation For Minn. Parents Who Chained Son, 5

AUSTIN, Minn. (AP) -- The Dexter parents who pleaded guilty to chaining their 5-year-old son to his crib have been denied visitation rights with him and their 8-year-old son.

Thirty-three-year-old Brian Miller and 26-year-old Charity Miller are serving a yearlong jail sentence on convictions of false imprisonment and malicious punishment.

They were in court Wednesday to report on their progress on getting their children back. A judge had ruled in June the couple will retain their parental rights but they have to undergo counseling before they can get back their sons.

Attorneys for the Millers said their clients want to do everything they can to reunify their family.

An Austin Daily Herald report says a judge denied the Millers contact with their children unless recommended by the boys' therapist.
