MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 55-year-old woman died Thursday morning from injuries she suffered in a motorcycle accident in Le Sueur County on Sunday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the woman as Debra Halvorson of Brooklyn Center.

Authorities said Halvorson was riding a motorcycle at about 4:51 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Highway 99 and County Road 45 in Le Sueur County. A vehicle carrying two people was stopped at a stop sign, then pulled out in front of Halvorson and broadsided her.

Halvorson was pronounced dead at about 5:39 a.m. Thursday from injuries sustained in the accident. The Minnesota State Patrol said the accident remains under investigation at this time.

    If the car pulled out infront of her wouldn’t she have broadsided them?? Get the story right before it goes to print guys! Such a sad story, start seeing motorcycles people!

    I was thinking the exact same thing as Steph. Ten years ago a lady in Ramsey turned in front of my son on his motorcycle and therefore he broadsided her car. Luckily he had his helmet on and survived.

      And your perspective comes from what kind of experience? At 5 in the afternoon, this should not have happened. This was NO accident. It was carelessness, plain and simple. There should be criminal charges, even IF no cell phone was being used or the driver of the car wasn’t drunk. This is why we need a tougher “failure to yield” law.
