GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — A man who looks a lot like Brett Favre has been impersonating the retired quarterback around Green Bay, wearing a No. 4 jersey and even signing autographs.

David Thomason, who is Favre’s travel coordinator, tells the Green Bay Press-Gazette he was notified the man appeared at Packers practice Thursday and showed up at several sports bars in the area.

Thomason says it’s definitely not his boss, who he says hasn’t been in Green Bay since the Minnesota Vikings played at Lambeau Field last season.

The owner of Stadium View Bar & Grille in Ashwaubenon says the man came into his bar Thursday night and signed autographs for about 15 minutes. He says the man “keeps his head down so you can’t get that good of a look at him.”

Hah!! That’s funny stuff!!!!! I’m going to GreenBay tomorrow to impersonate John Candy and sign autographs.

Yeah, but John Candy is dead… well… never mind, not much difference I guess.

All they have to do is ask him to step into the rest room and email them back a subsequent photo on the camera phone. Compare that to Brett’s photos from the past. A no brainer.

My real concern is this may be senator Weiner looking for attention…

The Vikes should sign this guy … he’s got to be able to do a better job than the imposter they had last year …
