ALLOUEZ, Wis. (AP) — Pages from the Packers’ special teams playbook landed on a Green Bay area street after a waste recycling truck lost part of its load.

Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Jason Vogel was checking for speeders on a street in Allouez Monday when he saw papers flying from the back of a Waste Management truck.

Vogel says the paper was scattered for a half block and was creating a hazard. And when he started picking up the paper he was surprised to see pages from the Packers’ special teams. Vogel figured the Packers would want to know what had been scattered, so his supervisor contacted the team.

Packers spokesman Aaron Popkey says they aren’t concerned any sensitive material was revealed. Popkey says anything important is shredded and then recycled.

Were these really from the Packers’ play book? I mean, that’s what I would assume if I found a bunch of papers that said “Take cheap shots” and “Play dirty” blowing around the street. But I wouldn’t know they were from the Packers unless there were also some that said “Cry like little girls if things don’t go your way.”

OK guys, here’s my new plan! We’re gonna’ write up some really dumb plays that the Bears and the Vikings will believe are our real plays. Then we’re gonna’ throw ’em out on the street like they got lost, and then somebody will put them on Craigslist, and those dummies in Chicago and Bloomington will buy them, and then… Won’t work? Whadaya mean? They fell for the Favre scam, didn’t they?

    1. TL says:

Chicago and Bloomington, eh? Vikes havent played in Bloomington since 1981.

Can someone who speaks drunk tell this genius where they now play…since 1982.

Im guessing you fell for a scam or two in your lifetime….like when you read somewhere recent that the Vikes still play in Bloomington.

It’s hard to find anyone who’s seen the Vikings play at all…unless ‘play’ means losers! The Packer’s will cry all the way to the Superbowl anytime.

Well taken, TL! Yes, the Vikings have, in fact, played most of their home games since 1982 in a giant, inflatable, partially subterranean, Tupperware and concrete echo chamber-like monstrosity in downtown Minneapolis that more closely resembles a 1960s Soviet-era bunker than a football stadium. It is also reported to have been the site of countless squandered opportunities, crushed hopes and frequent questionable decisions regarding aging quarterbacks.
