Art Adorns St. Paul Bar After Vandalism

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- Businesses along University Avenue in St. Paul have had a difficult summer with vandals spray painting graffiti all over.

Now the outside of one of those businesses, the Turf Club, is getting a makeover thanks to a young artist.

It's a scene ripped right out of a Western with cowboys sitting around a campfire.

"Their logo has been a horse shoe, so I thought 'Oh let's do a Western scene.' I love doing cowboys and horses," said artist Angela Talle.

Talle has designed and created a glass mosaic that she's putting on the side of the Turf Club. She got a grant from the Minnesota Arts Board.

"I have about another month and I've been here for six weeks so far," she said.

There's been a lot of vandalism on University Avenue this summer, so this beautiful piece of art is welcome in the community.
