Toddlers Found Alone In Moorhead Parking Garage

MOORHEAD, Minn. (AP) — Two toddlers are in protective custody after they were found alone in a Moorhead parking garage dressed only in dirty diapers.

Dispatchers got a report Tuesday of children screaming in the underground garage. Police entered and found the children standing inside the closed overhead door at the bottom of a steep ramp.

The children are about 1 and 2 years old. Police Lt. Tory Jacobson says the toddlers had no obvious injuries, and their mother was located in a nearby apartment.

The Forum reports authorities haven’t decided yet whether to seek charges.

Clay County Social Services placed the children in protective custody and will investigate with police how the children got out of the apartment.

So glad they didn’t end up getting hurt. How does that happen with a one year old?

    • Mike

The two year old was baby sitting?

The mother needs to be in jail…and the children need to be placed in a good home…

Crazy, how do you not miss small children in an apartment? Drugs?
