Teen Injured In St. Cloud Hit-And-Run

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (WCCO) -- A 15-year-old boy was injured Saturday after being hit by a driver who fled the scene.

Officers were dispatched around 1:42 p.m. Saturday to the 3200 block of 5th Street North where they discovered the teen, Tulane Hardaway, of St. Cloud, had been hit by a vehicle.

Hardaway told police he was hit by a green, four-door car as he crossed the street. He said he thought he would be able to beat the car as he crossed the street, but the front, right corner of the vehicle struck him in the legs.

Hardaway said after being struck, he fell and hit his head and shoulder on the pavement. The vehicle did not stop at the scene.

The teen was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and was later released with leg and shoulder swelling.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the St. Cloud Police Department at (320) 251-1200.
