Lt. Gov. Prettner Solon Visits Iron Range

MOUNTAIN IRON, Minn. (AP) -- Lt. Gov. Yvonne Prettner Solon brings state agency heads to the Iron Range this week as part of her "Bringing the Capitol to Greater Minnesota" tour.

Prettner Solon will be at the Mountain Iron Community Center from 5-6:30 p.m. Monday for what's billed as a listening session on jobs and economic development.

The Duluth News Tribune reports She'll be joined by state Rep. Carly Melin, Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board Commissioner Tony Sertich, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency Commissioner Paul Aasen, Labor and Industry Commissioner Ken Peterson, Employment and Economic Development Commissioner Mark Phillips, and Department of Natural Resources Northeast Regional Director Craig Engwall.

Prettner Solon also will hold office hours from noon until 4 p.m. Monday at the IRRRB office near Eveleth. On Tuesday, she'll tour local businesses and initiatives.
