Now that the Minnesota State Fair is officially over, so I suppose it’s time to accept the fact that I didn’t go this year. I had planned on going – several times in fact, but something else always came up to prevent my trip to the land of cheese curds. Alas, today is the day after Labor Day and the fair has come to an end, but luckily, I have something else to look forward to: a food competition.
Minnesota Street Market
in St. Joseph just opened a brand new food and arts co-op in the former Loso’s building in downtown and is hosting their very first Food Nirvana cooking competition on Saturday, Sept. 17.
It’s going to be an exciting day filled with fresh ingredients, talented cooks, and activities for the whole family. Plus, I get to judge the food competition, so I’m especially excited to see what the competitors bring to the table.
Do you like cooking with co-op ingredients? Think you have what it takes to compete? Check out the rules here and then sign up for the competition here by Sept. 16.
See you in St. Joseph!
