This has been happening far too much. Why can’t developmentally disabled children and adults be given tracking devices that can be traced by GPS systems? This should also include those with Alzheimers and dementia as well.

    • Ben

It can cause problems within their lives. How would you like a leash around your neck? We need to keep better eye on them.

      • Brain

Good idea, Ben. Then we as taxpayers need to pony up the dough for more staff and more resources. I’m not sure what side of the political aisle you’re on, but it sounds to me like the old “you should get more accomplished with fewer resources than you used to have.” I don’t want to turn this into a political debate, but Nancy is right. This has been going on far too much. We have so many safeguards (ie: GPS tracking devices, ID chips, etc) to keep our pets from being lost. Too bad we don’t care as much about our own families. I understand there’s an ethical boundary there, but something needs to be done to stop these headlines from surfacing.
