NEW YORK MILLS, Minn. (AP) — The Brunswick Corp. has announced plans to expand its Lund Boats plant in New York Mills.
Brunswick, which owns and operates Lund Boats, plans to add 22,000 square feet to the western Minnesota plant.
The company says demand has been high for both the Crestliner and Lund boat brands. Crestliner production began at the New York Mills plant last year, and the company says the expansion will help facilitate Crestliner production at the plant.
New York Mills Mayor Larry Hodgson tells The Forum newspaper the expansion is good news for the city.
A company news release says the project is scheduled to break ground this month, and could be completed by the end of the year.
